About Us We met eight years ago at a church function and immediately knew that we were the ones for each other! During our time together, we have become best friends, as well as life partners. Ben has been an elementary school teacher for over nine years. His love of reading and his desire to encourage children to be better readers has led him to his current position as a school librarian. Eric worked for the government as an air traffic controller for many years and has just completed his bachelor’s degree in Business Management and International Business - something he is very proud of! He is currently a manager at a retail store with a very flexible schedule. He looks forward to being able to enjoy story time at the library, trips to the park, and walks through the neighborhood. Since Ben works in a school system, he has the luxury of evenings, weekends, holidays, and summer vacations off to devote to family time. He’s so excited to make clothespin reindeer, tissue and lollipop ghosts, create finger painting masterpieces at the kitchen table, and share his favorite books at bedtime.
