About Us: We have been married for over 8 wonderful years. We are both native Californians and both grew up in the Bay Area. We are each other’s best friend and knew when we met that we would be together. Terry's temperament is steady and calm, and Debbie is energetic and full of life. Together we make a stable and fun couple.

Our Home and Neighborhood: Our town of Concord -just east of San Francisco- is a beautiful location known for its excellent weather, top notch private and public schools, public parks and wonderful cultural activities. We look forward to exposing our child to the local theater with the excellent musicals, plays, symphony and opera performances. Not to mention the pro-baseball, and football games the Bay Area has to offer. Our neighborhood has lots of children and is family friendly. We currently share our home with our wonderful dog Shelby. We enjoy her companionship and her silly personality. Shelby loves children and naturally knows how to be gentle around children. She can‚t wait to become a big sister and protector of our little one.

About Debbie by Terry: I'm more in love with Debbie after almost 8 years of marriage than the day we were married. From our first conversation I felt so comfortable as we discovered how much we had in common in our beliefs and dreams. Almost immediately we talked about how much children meant to us. Debbie was adopted at birth and will be a great help for our child in dealing with their questions and emotions. I love the way Debbie is so nurturing and loving towards everyone. She loves making a house a home and has retired from the Insurance industry to be a STAY-AT-HOME Mom. I love to watch her around children, she is so natural and kids enjoy being around her. Debbie can often be found with one of our 5 nephews, playing peek-a boo, hide and seek, or playing with Thomas the Train and legos.

About Terry by Debbie: Terry is my best friend and confidant. We share the same goals and dreams, especially raising a family. I'm blessed to have Terry understand how important it is to me to be a stay-at-home wife and mom. Terry works in the computer division of a large banking institution and is able to be home in the early afternoon everyday. His job allows two days off during the week and he looks forward to attending school functions with our child. Whenever I watch Terry around children it makes me smile. He is so gentle and loving and always in the middle of the action, playing with Lincoln logs, hot wheels, reading to his nephews and most of all teaching. There isn't a thing that Terry does not have some knowledge of. He is my walking Encyclopedia and bookworm. He loves to read and will be a great storyteller to our little one.

Family: We are blessed to have our families live within an hours drive or so. The grandparents can't wait to have another grandchild in the family. Debbie's brother and mom live within blocks of one another and mom is kept very busy with her four grandsons'. She has craft day once a week for the boys and cooking lessons where half the fun is the mess made. We spend the holidays and birthdays with both families when possible. We look forward to our child's first Christmas, and the awe on his or her face at all the lights on the tree and the first visit to see Santa Claus. One of Debbie's fondest memories as a child was when her parents had a neighbor dress up as Santa and make just enough noise to wake her up so she could sneak out and share her cookies and milk with him. It was such magic. We can't wait to create the same memories with our child and start a few new traditions of our own.

Our families are thrilled that we are adopting. We both grew up in loving families that encouraged us to dream and reach for our goals. God, education, love and being allowed to make a few mistakes along our journey are what had made us who we are today. Both families welcome you with open arms to be a part of our extended family at whatever level you feel comfortable.
